Dear Pretty Dog,
I am your #1 fan even though this is my first fan mail. When I was younger I thought you probably couldn’t read, but I did a science project on dog vision this year and learned that dogs can see a lot of the same stuff as us. Sorry about that.
Anyways, why haven’t you sung for us in ten years? We forgave you for going totally dog crazy on those poor paparazzi! We never forgot your big miracle! We’d all really like it if you sang at the Grammy’s this year. I personally believe in you that you can be a good girl and leave the canine behavior at the door.
Anyways, there was a pic on the fan instagram account of you reading Marsha M. Linehan’s DBT workbook. What is that? (Dog-ilectical Bark-havioral Thera-paw-py?) Is that what all of your songs are gonna be about now? Will there be a new album? Are you gonna come sing at the Grammys??

PS: I started drawing Pretty Dog comics while in intensive in/out patient psychiatric care throughout 2021. No matter how angry and flailing Pretty Dog may get… She always looks super duper pretty! In collaboration with one and only YAKA (my real life brother and favorite musician) Pretty Dog has her very own show.

Artist’s Bio
Anna Azizzy (Pittsburgh, PA) is a performance artist working in live theater, performance for video, sculpture, and experimental music. Their work is wonky and gay and ridiculous (at risk of falling apart!), but with moments of precision and poignance that let you come the whole way in.
It’s work that’s meant to help you work something weird out.
They create characters and tell stories to process life. Their characters have helped them find themself, and now that more of them is here, they’ve been having a blast experiencing the regulating joys of life: clown, theater, and improv comedy.
This is Azizzy’s second time in Phily for fringe, the first time being in 2023 with “The Secret Life of Gym Girls” Azizzy's latest show, “Pretty Dog Pop Star: A Day in the Life of a Beautiful Dog: THE MUSICAL” will have a run at PRACTICE Gallery in Philadelphia during the month of September.
